01Not professional advice
Nothing Dry Run Ready produces is legal, compliance, insurance, financial or other professional advice, and using it creates no professional or attorney-client relationship. Consult a qualified professional before acting on it.
02AI output
Dry Run Ready uses AI models. Their output can be incomplete or wrong, including when it sounds confident. Review it, and have a qualified professional review anything you rely on for a decision with legal or regulatory consequences.
03No guarantee of outcome
A readiness score measures how your answers in one self-directed exercise compared with a written rubric. It is not a certification, an audit, an insurer approval or a regulatory determination, and a high score does not mean your organization will handle a real incident well. The insurer summary documents that an exercise took place; it does not imply that any insurer has reviewed or accepted it. Playbooks describe recommended practice for a fictional situation and must be checked against your own obligations before use.
04Sources
The library assistant answers only from official texts we have retrieved and stored: guidance from bodies such as NIST, CISA, FEMA, OSHA, the UK ICO, NCSC and HSE, ENISA, the Australian ACSC and Safe Work Australia, and the text of GDPR Articles 33 and 34. The library reflects those sources as of October 28, 2026, and each answer cites the source it used. Standards text we cannot reproduce (ISO/IEC 27035-1, ISO 22301) and Canadian government pages are described in our own words, not quoted. Jurisdiction notes in scenarios and scorecards summarise common requirements and are not a statement of the law that applies to you.
05Samples and examples
Every scenario is fictional. Organizations, people and events in scenarios, sample transcripts and sample reports are invented, and any resemblance to real ones is coincidental.
06Independence
Dry Run Ready is not affiliated with or endorsed by any regulator, standards body, certification body, insurer or government agency it refers to, including NIST, CISA, the ICO, ENISA, ISO or the US National Weather Service.
07Generated documents
Scorecards, playbooks, exercise records, insurer summaries and emailed reports are generated for a self-directed exercise and are informational only; review them with a qualified professional. The site footer carries this notice on every page. We are adding the same notice to each generated document itself, together with a machine-readable marker that the text is AI-generated, by December 2, 2026 (EU AI Act Article 50(2)).
08AI assistant
The drill facilitator (text and voice) and the library assistant are AI systems. Each shows a notice before you start that you are talking to an AI and that its answers can be wrong. The "Improve with AI" button in the scenario studio also produces AI output. See also the Terms of Service.
